Description

Escudo Rojo Carmenere Reserva Red Wine is an iconic Chilean brand from the wine-growing region of Valle Central and has a dense purple colour. The Escudo Rojo Carmenere Reserve is made from the Carmenère grape variety. In the Valle Central, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and gravel.

These grapes are perfectly ripe and harvested by hand. The grapes are immediately pressed and sorted. This is followed by the fermentation of small wood at specific and controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the Escudo Rojo Carmenère is aged for another 6 months in oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:  The nose has ripe blackberry fruit aromas with notes of roasted coffee beans and black pepper. The finish lingers on an array of fruit and spices.
